Last weekend...Lake Chelan and Missile silo

Post by Jeremy »

Diving Lake Chelan is fun. If the viz sucks in Puget Sound...why not make a weekend of it and head to Chelan...and hit the silo while you're at it? :)

Chelan is still cold, in the low 50's. Sheep boats and boulders at Fields Point were excellent but the 100ffw drop at Monument is the jewel dive here. You land on an old car wreck, turn north, and get treated to some extraordinary cliff topography. There is a cool little Xmas tree to let you know when you are back to the start.

The Missile Silo is located in a farmers backyard/junkyard. One might question what one is doing there when you arrive. No matter, the dive is one of a kind and truly a lot of fun.

Here is a brief vid of the adventure.
