Hi Everyone,
Tides look good this weekend so I am thinking of diving Titlow Beach Friday evening.
Meet about 545pm and IN THE WATER by 615pm. Anyone want to dive with me???

I just looked at the tides again! It would be better if we could splash at 545pm. I know it is a little early for many of the working folk out there. Let me know if you can make it.

I'm going to take a "sick" day, Amy. I'll see you there at around 5 or 515.

Jeff,
We can't make it tomorrow night (going to the fish ID class), but we live very close to Titlow so I can give you directions.
From I-5 in Tacoma:
Take the I-16W and take the Jackson St Exit.
Make a L from the exit and go across the bridge (this will take you over the fwy)
Make a R on 6th St and go all the way down the hill (you will be facing toward the Puget Sound)
At the bottom of the hill, there is a large park and a roundabout at the end of 6th St. The dive site is the beach directly in front of this roundabout. You will need to park on 6th Street in the parking facing Titlow park and walk across the train tracks to the beach.
I hope this helps - have a fun dive

How lucky we are - we get to see firsthand what most people only see on TV!
Ok...so a couple of us showed up to dive.
I saw Larry and his dive buddy, I saw Ron and his dive buddy (name.?.) and then there was another guy that showed up (did he dive?/or not?) and then there was Tim and myself....We all hit the water about 5:45pm and the vis was lousy....the critters minimal...but interesting on the ones we found. No Octos or Wolfies...just a LOT of Sculpins, a lot of crab and a few cool stuffl....like a warbonnet, several gunnels and sculpin (what kind???) every where!!! and I mean EVERYWHERE!!! At one of the logs, Tim and I saw at least 5 in a 5ft. radius...
Too cool. Since it was a washout low tide the plumose were not "in bloom", vis was crappy but it was great to hit the water after work and blow some bubbles.
