Awesome critters 1/8

Post by gutholmj »

What an amazing array of critters. Kim and I got out yesterday and we saw almost every kind of rock fish imaginable. Lots of Canaries, Vermillion, Yellow Eyes including a couple juveniles. Even a couple of China Rockfish. There were also 2 good size GPOs. One of them was out roaming around. I found 2 warbonnets and Kim spotted 8, yes that's right, 8 Grunt Sculpin. Way too many other critters to list. Wow, just amazing.

Over 120 minutes although I did get a bit chilly. I really wish I would have brought the camera. I do need to work on my trim a bit. I was vertical, feet down almost the whole time.

I forgot to mention, Seahorses!!!

Ron, I didn't even think of it but next time we go to the Seattle Aquarium, I'll be sure to give you a call.

Yes, still at least a week to go. The stitches come out on the 17th and hopefully I'll get the ok to dive.

I guess when you can't dive for 2 weeks you just have to go to the to Aquarium to get your fix.

Maybe I should take my camera over there so I can finally get a picture of a war bonnet
It's a good day.... nobody died!

Lotta folks at the Aquarium today. I was there with my family this morning and enjoyed it thoroughly!

When you can't dive for a while you need to get your "fix" somehow!

Speaking of Aquarium visits... anyone planning to go to the Vancouver Aquarium for their Diver's Weekend on Jan 22/23 ? I've been trying to get there for years but I always get some kind of other plans conflicting. This year is no different: conflicts. But I am not giving up hope - might still be able to shuffle some stuff on the calendar. Anyway - I think it might be interesting and y'all might like to check it out...

Bric,

What settings did you use for these pics? Did zoom and crop? Thanks.
