What’s in your save a dive kit…
What’s in your save a dive kit…
Sorry if this has been asked before (please provide link if so), but what is in your Save A Dive kit/tool box. What do you carry, either it be tools or gear, as I would like to get mine started.
Post it all, as I would like to hear how some of you do it. Pic's would be great also of your setup, what do you store them in?

Essentials -
O-rings
Bungee cord
zip ties
wrenches for all your hoses
set of allen keys
Pliers
rescue tape
Duct tape
superglue
razor blades
For the most part you can fix just about anything short term with that.

I carry a few extra things, since I drive up from Portland. Calling a dive because of a minor problem sucks.
Aside from the usual tools, extra clips, port plugs, orings, etc etc, my box contains:
Extra hood
Wet gloves
Replacement blue drysuit gloves
Dryglove liners (wool gloves)
Din to yoke adapter
Lp inflator hose
Reg hose
Hp hose
Crappy old (but working) spg

Wow... this is great stuff and thanks all who have posted... keep them coming.
I have a noob question about the O-rings
- Is there a standard of needed sizes
- What specific use would these be used for
- Is there a site that would sell a 'standard package' of these
Bungee cord, what 'could' be a standard size, and at what length for each?

Re: What’s in your save a dive kit…
The one thing I would add to the above is a bicycle inner tube patch kit. I've found this a great rescue solution for latex seals.
Re: What’s in your save a dive kit…
Thanks for the detailed list Bob. When I did do a search for Save A Dive kit, I did see your post on your loss equipment (real bummer).
I'll let this ride for a day or two and then update the first post, and continue to do so as items are added.

This link gives you a chart of standard sizes, and offers you a package with five each of the most useful sizes ...KneeDeep wrote:Wow... this is great stuff and thanks all who have posted... keep them coming.

Oh just go out and buy the prepackaged save a dive kit that has nothing that fits your gear.
