Bubbles and Suds SUNDAY Edmonds 6pm splash

Post by Norris »

So looks like a nice high tide slack about 6pm..

Lets plan for a 6PM splash and spin around the park. I haven't been there in a while so want to check it out.

Where - Edmonds Underwater Park
When - 5/31/2015 Splash at 6PM so please get there early enough to do this..

After - RORYS for some food and beverage

Feel free to hit me up with any questions...

I would like to add that Sunday is going to be pretty nice so you MAY want to show a little early in order to secure a parking space. If the lot is full I find it best to go to the round-about by the bathrooms and pull aside so cars can get through and just wait. Keep a keen eye on activity as if someone is leaving you will want to be on top of it or someone just pulling in may steal it.

Just an idea

I get off work in Bothell at 5:30, I'll be down there, I'll try my hardest to be as punctual as possible.

I just noticed there is a festival going on down there. Has anyone been near there today? I wonder if parking will be that more challenging? I plan to go pretty early so I will update this thread as I know more

It was god awful but Cupronickel and I made due. We were going to dive damn it and we did. Followed lines mainly by feel and did make it pretty far. Was able to salvage the dive and had a pretty good time. The viz was much better at Rorys afterwards.

That's because everything was breeding! We were swimming in eggs and sperm! The anemones were releasing, the nudis were laying eggs and i even caught a giant brittle star releasing eggs (got pics, will post later)!

The camera had a hard time focusing on the brittle star, but that was honestly one of the coolest things I have seen while diving!

The star reminded me of the alien cylinders from War of the Worlds, seemed fitting since I'm currently reading the book

Nice shots, I especially like the opalescent, those are my favorite nudibranchs
