DIW

Post by cardiver »

Bob and I hit DIW early this morning and were surprised to have the entire wall to ourselves. When we enter there was a slight ebbing current that took us north to the end of the wall in about 30 minutes. Coming back we rode the flood for 30 and then came up over the wall.
Not a lot of life on the wall right now. We saw a few wolfies and octos and a large ling that was acting very strange. I caught a kelp greenling sleeping and was able to get a pretty good pic of it before it realized that I was there.
Thanks for another great, early morning dive, Bob.

Please explain this a bit....what do you mean by "acting very strange"? What was it doing? :questionmarks:

It was pretty much ignoring us and chasing itself around. Kind of like a dog chasing its own tail.......

Thanks for the great dive this morning Ron! It was strange being the only diver's at DIW. I don't know what the deal was with the Ling. It was one of the largest Ling's that I have seen and was Brown in color. I'm glad it wasn't of the attacking kind!
Life is good, let's dive!!

Thanks. Yeah, things weren't looking too good for that little clown.

Looks like you guys had a perfect dive - gentle current both ways. Beats kickin'!

The diving planets have not been in alignment for me lately. Between the wackiness on the board lately and general business I've only been snatching a single dive here or there - only 8 or so for 2010.

Hope to see you in the water again before too long!

 That Arctonoe is long past the point where it should have found a cuke or something else to ride. Kinda like a baby bird that doesn't want to leave the nest!
