silver spotted sculpin

from a beach seine today.

pectoral fins were very large relative to the fish.

Yes yes yes, Really cool that getting the photos like this gives you a chance to see all the cool details you don't see under water like the transparent areas on the fins. Hope you put him back? They are too pretty to waste :smt064 :smt064

Wow, Scott! Pretty cool to see one like that! Yes, most definitely a Silverspotted. The large silver markings under the lateral line, the swoop of the front of the dorsal fin, and the "urchin spines" sticking out of its chin are a bunch of good clues.
