With the abnormally swollen stomach, the two things that come to mind are either an internal tumor (I necropsied a fish that died from a huge tumor on its liver), or it ate something that caused internal damage after it was swallowed (e.g., a bad-ass crab). It was flat, calm and dry last night at Redondo. Couldn't see my feet in the shallows, but, viz was probably at least 20 feet under the pier and stayed that way for the north profile.
